Home Sweet Home?

Will it be? or Not? My constant prayer has been for God's will to be done and not my own. If we get it...the thought completely brings me to my knees that God would bless us in such a way. Yet, if we don't get it...I will be VERY sad...However, I will also trust that God has something different for us down the road. I just pray the property taxes will be as reasonable as this one!

Let me rewind...we moved to the North Shore of Chicago in Sept of 2010. Prior to that, we lived in San Clemente Ca....Ever heard of it? Famous for the "Best Climate in the World" with an average temp of 73* year round!

Yup...that is what we left...I often chuckle at what our boys will say when they REALLY understand...for now, I will let them continue their love affair with hockey. Ahhhhh....ignorance is Bliss! (and the fact that they are 4 & 6 yrs old helps too) Here are my angels....

This is the CA home we sold...and lost lot$...however, it is only money and you can't take it with you! Just a LITTLE different in style...cookie cutter home built in the early 90's...no character...no yard...but it did have that huge 3 car attached garage! Won't find that in a 1928 home....

Actually, we are LOVING it here in Kenilworth! The people make up for the weather...everyone has been so warm & welcoming. Ok ok...so back to the house...the home we are hoping to purchase is a "short-sale" property...right now, we are in the middle of escrow (and getting this far as been a roller coaster) If we can get our financing in order...which is a HUGE "if"....we just might be moving this spring. If not, we will stay in our current rental home and enjoy being "care free" of the hassle that comes with being a homeowner. There is something to be said for picking up the phone and having someone else pay for the heater to be fixed!

Until we know if we get the Sterling home...I can dream of how I can fix this up...what paint color on trim & shutters will help this "yellow" brick?...I am thinking creamier trim with dark grey shutters & front door...

...what carpet will be replacing the navy with roses?

I love the texture of seagrass however, i know my hubby will want something soft under foot....this is what he would like

 Here is my seagrass.....love this....
However, I would be happy with this too...
Oh heck...I would be THRILLED to keep the roses if I had too ;)
Just imagine how pretty they were back in the 80's!
